[Instructor] The C language remains strong after nearly 50 years. It's used to code microcontrollers, operating systems, graphics, and even newer and trendier languages. This course is a concept based approach to learning the skills necessary to program in the C language. Each movie focuses on a specific part of the language. Basic processes are repeated as new concepts are introduced. It's like the way I learned C, exploring the language and discovering it at the same time. I'm Dan Gookin, author of the book Beginning C Programming for Dummies. Though I've been coding C for over 30 years, I still remember what it's like to be a beginner, so I'm sensitive to those needs. Now I invite you to join me to learn the C language or just get over a few stumbling blocks. This first part of the course covers many of the basics, and it's a great way to start your C essential training.
